In winter, it is still possible to fish Kiwha stream except during a very hard winter. This area is made of limestone with many underground caves. Water flows under ground with many warm springs. This keeps the water temperature good throughout the winter.

cross over the stream and immediately turn right. The stream in this area flows underground in part, but from KiwhaRi you can see the stream.

I go fishing this stream often in winter. Sometimes Big rainbows (about 20 inches) strike nymph hooks. But to visit this stream only for the rainbows is not good idea in case you are a foreigner. There are many other streams where native trouts live in Korea. It's nice to stop in for a moment on the way to other beautiful streams.
